Texas LMSW Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is more than ticking off hours it’s a relationship, a mentorship, and a space to grow into the kind of social worker you’re proud to be. My role as a Texas Board-Approved Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor is to walk alongside you as you build your confidence, strengthen your skills, and find your authentic voice as a clinician.
This is not a one-size-fits-all process. We’ll talk about your goals, your passions, and the work that excites you as well as the places you feel unsure or stuck. I’ll bring my years of experience as a trauma therapist, veteran, and former first responder, along with my advanced clinical training, including how to build your own private practice and create and offer CEUs, to help you develop both the technical skills and the grounded presence needed to sit with clients in their most vulnerable moments. Supervision with me is both structured and deeply human.
How Supervision Works
Individual Supervision
In one-on-one supervision, our focus is entirely on you your growth, your cases, and your development as a social worker. We’ll explore your current work in depth, talk through ethical decisions, and unpack complex cases. You’ll have the space to ask questions, process the emotional impact of the work, and learn tools you can use immediately in session.
Group Supervision
Group supervision offers the collective wisdom of learning alongside other LMSWs. It’s a space for collaboration, connection, and shared insight where you’ll see how different clinicians approach similar challenges, and where your perspective will help others grow, too. Many supervisees find that the camaraderie and shared experience of group work make the journey to licensure feel less isolating and more inspiring.
Both individual and group supervision are designed to meet Texas licensure requirements while giving you the depth, nuance, and mentorship that help you truly thrive in this profession.
What We’ll Cover Together
Because of my background and the clients I’ve served, supervision often includes:
PTSD & Complex Trauma (C-PTSD) – understanding both the neurobiology and lived reality of trauma
Religious Trauma & High-Control Group Recovery – helping clients untangle belief systems and reclaim their identity
Moral Injury – working with those whose values have been deeply impacted by their work or experiences
Somatic-Based Trauma Therapy – learning how to involve the body in the healing process
Advanced EMDR Applications – Somatic & Attachment-Focused EMDR (Certified), Early EMDR Intervention (RTEP), Complex Clinical Presentations, and Group EMDR (GTEP) for both small and large groups
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (Certified), Brainspotting, and Hypnotherapy
Ego States & IFS-Informed Therapy – parts work and healing inner conflict
Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) – effective approaches for OCD and BFRB
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method – strengthening relationship work
Working effectively with military, veterans, first responders, healthcare providers, and other high-stress professional cultures
Addressing dissociation, emotional shutdown, hypervigilance, nightmares, anger, and rage in client work
Therapist wellness, vicarious trauma, and building a sustainable practice
Who I Work Best With
I’m a good fit for LMSWs who:
Want supervision that is as much about your growth as a person as it is about your growth as a clinician
Are passionate about trauma-informed, attachment-focused, attunement and body-based care
Want to feel confident working with complex trauma, moral injury, and high-stress client populations
Value direct, compassionate feedback and open conversation
Appreciate a supervisor who understands high-responsibility roles from the inside and won’t need you to explain the culture of service
What Transformation Looks Like
By the time you complete supervision, I want you to feel steady in your skills, confident in your decision-making, and clear about the kind of clinician you want to be. You’ll have a richer toolkit, a deeper understanding of trauma and human connection, and the self-awareness to sustain yourself in this work long-term.
Supervision with me is a space to learn, to grow, and to remember why you chose this profession in the first place. It’s about more than meeting licensing requirements—it’s about stepping into your career with both the knowledge and the grounded presence to truly make a difference.
