EMDR and Professional Consultation
As a Certified EMDR Therapist with advanced training in Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR and currently a Consultant-in-Training, I am able to provide up to 15 of the 20 consultation hours required for EMDRIA Certification. Whether you are actively pursuing certification or looking to deepen and refine your EMDR work, consultation with me is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in the realities of day-to-day clinical practice. This is a space to openly explore questions, work through stuck moments, and bring real cases leaving with practical guidance, new insight, and greater confidence in your clinical decisions.
I bring a distinct blend of professional training and lived experience to consultation. As a U.S. Army veteran, former law enforcement officer, and clinician with years of work across medical settings from inpatient units to hospice care, often alongside first responders I have a deep, firsthand understanding of complex trauma, moral injury, high-stress environments, and relational disconnection. These perspectives inform how I think about safety, pacing, and trust in trauma work.
My clinical foundation extends beyond EMDR and includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and relational work, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (Certified), Brainspotting, IFS/Ego States work, hypnotherapy, and yoga-based nervous system practices (RYT-200). I also have specialized training in preverbal trauma, OCD and BFRBs (Inference-Based CBT & ERP), and the Gottman Method. This integrative approach allows us to think beyond protocol and explore how EMDR can be thoughtfully woven together with body-based, attachment-focused, and relational frameworks to meet the needs of complex and nuanced clients.
In consultation, we focus not only on the mechanics of EMDR, but on how to adapt the work to each client’s nervous system, cultural context, attachment needs, and readiness for processing. I especially enjoy supporting therapists as they build confidence in challenging moments, integrate somatic and attachment-based interventions, and strengthen the relational presence that allows deep and lasting change to occur.
Whether you are new to EMDR, actively working toward certification, or seeking advanced case consultation, I would be honored to support you as you continue to grow your skills and expand the depth and impact of your work.
EMDR Certification & Professional Consultation
Consultation is more than a requirement it’s a space for meaningful growth, clearer understanding, and feeling more grounded and supported in your clinical work. Whether you’re pursuing EMDR Certification, integrating body-based and attachment-focused approaches, or navigating complex, high-stakes cases, consultation offers a place to bring your questions, challenges, and clinical curiosities without judgment.
Our work together is collaborative and thoughtful. You bring your experience, perspective, and goals; I bring advanced training, lived experience, and a commitment to helping you grow in ways that are both practical and aligned with who you are as a therapist.
How Consultation Works
Individual Consultation
One-on-one consultation is tailored to your clinical focus and learning needs. Sessions may include strengthening EMDR skills, working through stuck cases, adapting interventions for complex or layered trauma, or integrating multiple modalities in a cohesive way. I can provide up to 15 of the 20 EMDRIA-required consultation hours toward EMDR Certification, with an emphasis on somatic awareness, attachment dynamics, pacing, and nervous-system–informed care.
For clinicians who work with perinatal and postpartum clients, consultation can also support thoughtful adaptation of EMDR around pregnancy, birth, loss, and early attachment—while remaining grounded in safety, timing, and clinical appropriateness.
Group Consultation
Group consultation offers a supportive, relational learning environment where clinicians benefit from both guided discussion and peer perspectives. Groups focus on case conceptualization, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making using EMDR and integrative trauma approaches. Groups may be used toward EMDRIA Certification hours or for ongoing professional growth.
